Built in the old Orsay rail station, the Musee d’Orsay was opened in 1986. When one thinks of the d'Orsay impressionist painting immediately comes to mind. While true, the museum is one of foremost exhibitors of the impressionist masters, it also offers much more of the Frensh arts between the years of 1848-1914. Sculptures, photography, graphic arts and more are also on display.
