In the 7th arrondissement, the Invalides is a group of buildings that include several museums and L'eglise de St. Louis des Invalides. Louis XIV started the project in 1670 as a home and hospital for old and sick soldiers. The Eglise Saint-Louis des Invalides was added to the complex in 1679. Nopoleon, members of his family, and some of the France's war heroes are buried in tombs beneath the church.
