Château de Beynac
A Karen Brown Recommendation
Beynac, Aquitaine, France |
| Recenter Map To This Location |
Beynac is an enchanting village whose buildings hug the curves of the river that flows along its banks. It is a small village huddled beneath a cliff that is crowned by its 12th-century fortress. The Château de Beynac overlooks a broad sweep of the Dordogne. The castle, while its furnishings are sparse, is well worth visiting for the spectacular views. (Open all year.)
