Coastal walk

I'm afraid you can't e-mail nature but last week my American guests abandond their car at Ednvoean Farm and instead walked the coastal footpath each day, for two days adventures. One day they walked westwards along the low earthy cliffs edged with tamarisk to visit St Micheal's Mount (one hour but do wear good shoes)and explore the little art galleries in Marazion at the foot of the Mounts Causeway. At high tide the little boats will fery you across to the Mount and it is always worth planning to visit when the gardens are open there. The next day they walked eastwards out along the more rugged granite cliffs that rise towards Cudden Point passing Acton castle (once bought by Nelson's navigator with his prize money from the battle for the Nile!)and on to Prussia Cove, a smuggling haunt of the Carter brothers in days gone by. They saw more of Cornwall and absorbed her rugged history as the sea sang below them and the buzzards soared overhead than in a week of racing around in a car.
