The Funen Village

Den Fynske Landsby also known as Funen village is a spectacular open-air museum where 24 rural buildings have been relocated to depict a 17th-century Funen village. There are beautifully furnished thatched, beamed farmhouses, horse stalls, barns, a school, a wind-and watermill, workshops, stores and the Sortebro Inn, where you can dine or enjoy light refreshments. In summer costumed actors and skilled craftsmen recreate life in the 17th century. From mid-July until mid-August Hans Christian Andersen's plays are performed in the adjacent outdoor theater.
