Explore the tidepools and watch the Harbor Seals bask in the sun on the rocks just out of reach of the human visitors. Check for minus low tides to make for a memorable trip. At the south end of the reserve are the world famous big waves of Mavericks. A yearly contest is held by invitation only to test the world's best surfers against these giant waves.
