Maritime Museum of San Diego

Preserving one of the largest collections of historic ocean going vessels the San Diego Maritime Museum includes: the Star of India, built in 1863, a dramatic tall-masted ship that carried passengers and cargo around the world; the Berkley an 1989 ferryboat from the San Francisco Bay Area; the USS Dolphin a diesel-electric submarine launched in 1968; the Medea a 1904 steam yacht; B39 a Soviet Foxtrot submarine and the Californian a replica of the 1847 cutter C. W. Lawrence. Just a short distance away, is the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum.
