Your next winery after Chateau St. Jean is the nearby Kunde Winery (10155 Sonoma Hwy, Kenwood, CA 95452) whose founder, Louis Kunde, settled in the Sonoma Valley in 1904. The present-day winery, which re-creates an 1883 barn that previously stood on the same site, houses a reception area with wine tasting and a small gift shop. Tasting, $5 estate wines, $10 reserve wines, is available between 10:30 am and 4:30 pm. Complimentary tours of the barrel-aging caves, which feature half a mile of interconnecting tunnels, are available approximately every half hour on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. 707-833-5501, www.kunde.com.
