Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge
A Karen Brown Recommendation
Kitchen Dick Road |
| Recenter Map To This Location |
The other great attraction in the of Sequim is the Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge to the north of the town proper (reach it by going north on Kitchen Dick Road from the 101). This is the world’s longest (5½ miles) natural sand spit, protecting a quiet bay that is a refuge and breeding ground for many species of native birds. You can hike out to the lighthouse at the end, and might even spot some harbor seals as well as birds.
