While many birds make the Cape May Point home year-round the area is reknowned for viewing migratory birds in the spring and fall. Dragonflies and Monarch Butterflies also pass by the park on their southern migration.The lighthouse is the third to have been built in the existing location as storms have destroyed the previous two. Tours of the lighthouse are available.
