The Heritage Plantation Museum, founded with the generous contributions of the Lily family, has collections of early-American historical artifacts and folk art. There are extensive collections of firearms, cars, as well as folk art and an old-fashioned carousel. On the museum’s grounds is an extensive rhododendron garden, which blooms each year from mid-May to mid-June—a “must” if you have an interest in gardening.
