Head north on Route 7 toward the border of Massachusetts and Vermont. Along the way plan to visit the Hancock Shaker Village, located outside of Pittsfield. The village gives a glimpse into the Shaker life up to several hundred years ago. Shaker furniture and crafts are on display in the beautifully restored buildings.
