Hidcote Manor Gardens (NT), one of the most delightful gardens in England. Created early this century by Major Lawrence Johnston, it is a series of individual gardens each bounded by sculpted hedges and linked by paths and terraces. Each “mini-garden” focuses on a specific theme or flower. There are stunning displays of old roses and in summer the perennials are a blaze of color.
