Snape Maltings, a collection of red-brick granaries and old malthouses, which has been converted into a riverside center with interesting garden and craft shops, art galleries, tearooms, and a concert hall, home of the Aldeburgh music festival every June. From here you can take a boat trip on the River Alde, which meanders through the marshes to the sea.
