The Gamla Uppsala Museum is located adjacent to an open field where you will find Viking burial mounds dating from the 6th-century.  The museum is dedicated to delving into the myths and realities concerning these mysterious mounds from their origins in the 6th-century to the beginnig of the 12th-century.
