Skokloster Castle is one of  Europe's best preserved 17th-century castles.  This is not a fortress-style castle with massive fortifications, but rather a large white four-story structure punctuated with many windows and enhanced by octagonal towers on each corner.  The interior is in excellent condition, with beautiful paintings on the walls.  Of special interest is the weapons collection.  Car buffs will want to pay a visit to the Motor Museum in the grounds which houses Sweden’s largest vintage car collection.
