Drottningholm Palace originally constructed in the 17th-century has been home to the Swedish Royal Family since 1981. The palace is currently listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list and is considered one of the best preserved examples of 17th-century Swedish Palaces. Drottningholm is surrounded by splendid Baroque gardens and is home to many interesting buildings such as the Chinese Pavilion, the Court Theater and the Castle Church. The palace is open to the public year round.
