The Convento de Santa Teresa, a few blocks southwest of the cathedral, is built on the birthplace of the famous 16th-century mystic writer, who is generally credited with defeating the Reformation in Spain by carrying out reforms of her own. Inside there are relics related to the saint and some fine altars. In the immediate vicinity are some lovely, picturesque 15th-century houses. You will enjoy strolling around this ancient town with its tiny plazas and cobbled streets.
