Karen's Review Of This Property:
Set on the north shore of Hood Canal is Selah Inn’s main house with its cedar shake exterior, broad porch, and dormer windows. This custom-built bed and breakfast has a distinctly northwest theme, as displayed in its salmon carvings on the wall and lovely river-rock fireplace. Public areas are small, but handsomely decorated. Upstairs, four guestrooms offer top-quality king- or queen-sized beds covered in luxurious linens and rich fabrics. Leaping salmon are carved into the mantlepeice of the river rock fireplace in the living room which overlooks the gardens offering a distant peak of the Hood Canal through the trees. Relax in the library and enjoy Bonnie’s gourmet breakfast in the sunroom or out on the deck. The four bedrooms upstairs are very nicely appointed each with fluffy robes and large towels for the hot tub found on the back deck. The King Suite is the largest looking down the garden towards the distant water, with a king-sized bed, and a large bathroom with a jetted tub for two. It’s quite a wa to go for diner so book ahead and reserved on of Bonnie’s special five-course dinners. Walk down to a rocky beach loaded with oysters and clams or stroll up the road to the state park. Cottages are also available nearby.
