Karen's Review Of This Property:
The romance of plantation life in the 17th century comes to us today through inns whose owners have fallen in love with the architecture and society of that period. Warner Hall dates back to 1642 and the Stavenses have taken this plantation house with its 17th- and 18th-century bones and re-created a home and a style that will delight the traveler. Every detail of the inn is one to relish for this restoration is so well done and so much has been preserved that one can only marvel at the end result. Rooms are large and gracious, beginning with the wide front hall from which you look down over the lawns to a distant view. The furnishings are beautifully chosen and look as if they may have been there for a hundred years—except that they now display lovely fabrics and trims. On the far side of the inn is a glassed-in porch with white wicker furniture where breakfast is served. Dinner in the dining room with its mahogany tables set with silver and crystal is a most romantic experience. The eleven bedrooms continue the gracious style of the home with magnificent beds, comfortable seating, large windows with expansive views of the surrounding countryside, and bathrooms that contain steam showers, spa tubs, and every amenity you could ever want.
