Everything about this inn is setting and view. Perched on a hillside this inn was constructed with the architectural intent to maximize and frame the sweep of the river as it dramatically cuts a path through the valley below. The wooden building, washed in a warm earth tone and trimmed in white, crests the hillside and is banded at every opportunity by an expanse of deck—places to perch and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the setting. Upon arrival when you enter off the front porch the views exposed through the expanse of window that bands the back will draw you immediately across the great room to the views. Guestrooms stagger along the length of the building, each cornered and angled to enjoy privacy but whose windows, once again, frame the spectacular vistas. Named for their grandchildren, they are tasteful and luxuriously appointed and their décor is subtle and understated so as once again to enhance, rather than compete with the magnificence of the setting. A full breakfast is offered daily and dinner is offered Friday and Sunday. Alternate dining is available at the restaurant, The Bank Food & Drink.
