Karen's Review Of This Property:
What is it about mills with large water wheels and streams rushing by that draws the traveler in? They seem to be the center of a town’s life and the place where the locals all drop by. The Inn at Gristmill Square has its origin in the mill built in 1771 and today there are five 19th-century buildings making up this interesting complex. The blacksmith’s shop now houses a country store, the inn’s office, and two guestrooms. The hardware store has seven bedrooms and the Steel House, formerly a private home, has four. The miller’s former home provides four more bedrooms. Rooms are comfortably furnished and have a variety of twin, queen, and king beds. Each has bathrobes, cable TV, phone, hairdryer, refrigerator, and private bath. There are three tennis courts and an outdoor pool. The inn’s restaurant is in the old mill and it’s been so well preserved that many of the mill’s working parts are still in place. Wood beams and individual small rooms create an inviting atmosphere for a meal. Ask for a tour of the wine cellar downstairs where it is naturally cooled by water. There’s also a tiny pub with just the right number of well-worn bar stools and two tables. Warm Springs’ pools are as popular today as they were years ago when guests traveled from afar to benefit from their healing powers. In winter you can enjoy skiing and skating.
