Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Windham Hill Inn sits on 160 acres at the end of a country road on a rise with views all around. Inside the inn, there are lovingly decorated living rooms to make you feel instantly as if you’ve just returned to see an old friend. Fireplaces and comfortable chairs beckon and windows give magnificent views of ancient apple trees, gardens, and lawns. There are 21 guestrooms, most with fireplaces, several with large soaking tubs. I stayed in the White Barn in a first-floor room with a pot-bellied stove sitting in the corner, two luxuriously overstuffed chairs, and a sliding door to its own private deck. The bed was king size, and the bath had a two-person whirlpool tub and a shower with two showerheads—a wonderful extravagance that made me linger just a few moments longer. The inn has an excellent dining room and the chef prepared a memorable dinner while I was there. The signature dessert of Belgian Chocolate Tome with Bay Leaf Creme Anglaise was as spectacularly presented as it was delicious. The wine list is award winning and extensive. Tea is served from 2 to 5:30 pm, and a cheese board served at 5:30 every day. The innkeepers are caring and want to be sure that your every moment will create a memory. The inn has an excellent conference/event center.
