Karen's Review Of This Property:
Craftsbury Common, in Vermont’s famous Northeast Kingdom, is one of those absolutely perfect villages, a charming collection of white clapboard houses with green shutters framed by towering oaks and stands of pine trees. This quaint rural setting offers a gentle reminder of simpler times gone by. The Inn on the Common, considered the crown jewel of the kingdom, has 16 beautifully decorated guestrooms spread over three meticulously restored Federal houses. Rooms have private baths and many fine furnishings, including hand-stitched quilts, artwork, and heirloom antiques. The grounds feature lush gardens, manicured lawns, a swimming hole, and views of the Green Mountains. In winter, guests enjoy snowshoeing and cross-country skiing on expertly groomed trails then return to cozy up next to the fireplace in the lounge or in their own rooms (five have fireplaces). The Trellis dining room offers creative country cuisine in a romantic candlelit setting with soft music and wine cellar. With over 28 combined years of hospitality experience, owners Jim and Judi Lamberti promise to make you feel at home during your stay.
