Karen's Review Of This Property:
A hotel built in 1927 in the English Arts and Crafts style of architecture, The Settlers Inn has been under the loving care of the Genzlingers for more than 25 years. They strive to preserve the heritage of their property and the tradition of hospitality. The large entry hall/living room features a fireplace where 4-foot-long logs burn almost all day and night. Bedrooms are handsomely furnished, many with queen iron or brass beds, and offer amenities such as air conditioning and wireless internet. The decor respects the character of the home and as they are all individual, from 101 with its leather seating, warm rusts and creams selected for its color scheme and a wonderful side deck to the smallest room in the house, 215, pretty and charming with a white iron bed set against a delicate yellow and blue patterned wallpaper—it is truly hard to select a favorite. The bathrooms deserve mention as almost all of them have been beautifully remodeled and many include Jacuzzi tubs. In addition to the dining room with its award winning wine list, you’ll find, just off the living room, a charming bar with a small-tavern-like ambiance, with several small tables, bar stools cozying up to the bar, and an outdoor terrace for dining in good weather. Fishing on the property is a great attraction.
