Karen's Review Of This Property:
The rustic restoration of a long-neglected family farm has created a place where elegance and the simplicity of country living converge. Glasbern is a paradise for those who love country barns, with buildings framed and adorned in the original post-and-beam architecture that has always graced the property. The barn’s soaring spaces, walls of stone, and a fireplace provide a grand dining environment any season of the year. Other barns have been brought to the property where they have been converted into wonderful accommodations for travelers—both those who are away on business and those who are exploring the neighboring countryside. There’s no denying that this style of architecture is a favorite of mine—it’s different, it’s inviting, and it welcomes you in. The restaurant serves dinner to both guests and the public, and the food is imaginatively prepared, beautifully presented, and nicely served. Many of the dishes feature pasture raised meat from the farm. Located only a few miles from urban areas with major business, Glasbern enables you to stay in the countryside with only a short commute to the business community and it also makes a great base for exploring the beauty of Pennsylvania.
