Karen's Review Of This Property:
Conveniently located on a tree-lined residential street in Eugene's downtown area and only blocks from the university, the Oval Door is a lovely, contemporary, three-story farmhouse-style home, originally built to serve as an inn. Your innkeepers are chefs so you know that breakfast and other culinary treats are going to be special. These talented women have created a simple yet elegant setting, where you can have as much or as little privacy as you need, but always lots of pampering. All six guestrooms, fresh and generously appointed, are named after Oregon wildflowers and are practical and luxurious in artfully understated ways. Queen Anne's Lace presents a 19th-century design with a mahogany queen bed, sitting area with sofa, and access to a separate Jacuzzi tub room with heated towel bars. Wild Rose offers a softly romantic setting with a queen iron bed and a single daybed. Forget-Me-Not is a sweet, charming room with an up-stepping queen brass bed. For ultimate privacy, the self-sufficient Morning Glory "honeymoon suite" is hidden away on the third floor with a custom-made, king-sized, iron bed handcrafted to resemble vines and morning glory buds, a 6-foot soaking tub, and every reason not to venture far.
