Karen's Review Of This Property:
Memorable, unique, and wonderful are ways to describe the Woolverton Inn, a 1792 stone manor, but there is something more—perhaps it is its setting in the countryside surrounded by conservation land, perhaps it is the sheep that graze close by and greet you with their melodious “baa”, perhaps it is the innkeepers and their warm and friendly welcome—whatever it is we definitely want to return to it soon. On the ground floor of the inn you find the formal living room, the dining room, and a great porch just created for either that early morning cup of coffee or for an afternoon cup of tea. Each of these spaces provides a most gracious feeling. Pulling up a chair to the fire in the living room with one of the chocolate-chip cookies that you’ve been smelling baking in the kitchen, chatting with fellow guests about the day’s activities, talking about dinner plans or how great breakfast was that morning—all these are part of that special experience. Rooms in the manor house are wonderfully romantic, and there are five new luxury cottages complete with all the comforts and then some—private entrances, king beds, fireplaces, sitting areas, porches or decks, and expansive bathrooms with two-person or steam showers and whirlpool tubs for two. A Bose CD player adds the frosting, or the music, to these rooms.
