Karen's Review Of This Property:
Anna Marie and Doug McMain epitomize the best of innkeeping. Their personal attention ensures that anyone who steps across their threshold will be gloriously received and pampered. The Queen Victoria is housed in two handsomely restored Victorian homes, The Queen Victoria and Prince Albert Hall, and tradition carries through to the service and amenities offered. The inn serves afternoon tea with sweets and savories in the finest English tradition. Breakfasts are bountiful and always include a hot entrée. Spacious, immaculately clean, some bedrooms have whirlpool tubs, some have fireplaces, but all have wonderful bathroom amenities, in-room refrigerators and air conditioning and guest pantries are stocked with drinks and popcorn. With its own private entrance and parking (gold in Cape May!), the Carriage House is the most luxurious guest suite with a charming first floor salon, termed the library, and at the top of the stair, under angled eaves, is a bedroom warmed by fire stove whose bath has a large Jacuzzi tub. Located at the heart of the historic district, complimentary bikes make it easy to ride to the ocean promenade which shares the sights of a charming old beach community of yesteryear. Note: Just a block away, termed a “hotel”, they also own the charming Queen’s Hotel.
