Karen's Review Of This Property:
Originally a 1787 New Hampshire farm, Chesterfield Inn today offers 15 guest accommodations in a variety of rooms that boast fireplaces, balconies, and full bathrooms with whirlpool tubs. Guestrooms put privacy and comfort first: they are spacious and traditionally decorated, and have individually controlled heating and air conditioning, telephones, TVs, and refrigerators. I looked at a room with flowered wallpaper, two wing chairs, and a king bed on top of which was a cozy quilt for napping. There were views out onto the lawn and the gardens surrounding the inn. The dining room serves dinner six nights a week and food preparation emphasizes fresh ingredients in unique flavor combinations. The seafood served at the inn comes from Boston, herbs from the garden, and other produce from local farms, all making for a delicious dinner. The parlor, dining room, and terrace are ideal settings for functions as intimate as a family gathering or as large as a wedding. This inn is located right off the major north-south interstate and is ideally situated for an extended stay in the area or a stopover when coming or going.
