Karen's Review Of This Property:
Adair sits on top of a hill in a stunning, 200-acre country estate encompassing rock walls, ponds, and gardens, with lovely views of the White Mountains. Its main house, painted white, is a great example of the architecture of the 1920s and is furnished elegantly with period antiques, fine reproductions, and original art. The entrance hallway is large and the dining and living rooms flow from each side. The guestrooms are lovely and many have fireplaces. The Kinsman is a large suite with a king sleigh bed, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a door leading to a private balcony. It also has a fireplace with comfortable reading chairs and a large two-person whirlpool tub. The Waterford room offers a cherry-wood queen bed, a corner fireplace with sitting area, and a bathroom with a two-person soaking tub. On the lower level you can relax in the Tap Room with its regulation pool table and in several comfortable sitting areas. In the afternoon when you return from the day’s activities, tea is served with scrumptious cakes or cookies and, in season, dinner is available Thursday through Monday in the lovely dining room. If you stay here you’ll want to save some time for a stroll on the many trails surrounding the inn.
