Karen's Review Of This Property:
Halfway along the length of Cape Cod an “elbow” marks the start of the unspoiled, unhurried, and absolutely beautiful Outer Cape. With 40 miles of National Seashore, this is a very special place, with none of the tourist activities usually associated with the Cape. There, on a street of colonial homes, you’ll find The Whalewalk Inn, an 1830s whaling master’s home that has been meticulously restored to provide 16 beautifully decorated and spacious guestrooms, each with private bath, in the main house and the recently built carriage house. The rooms are wonderful with a sophisticated country decor using individual palettes of colors. I loved the king-sized bedroom with its own private entrance, fireplace, and bathroom with whirlpool tub and steam shower. Innkeepers Elaine and Kevin are always on a quest for new art objects to go in each room and equally passionate about food, offering memorable gourmet breakfasts. After a day at the beach, riding the Rail Trail, kayaking, shopping or museum hopping, visit The Spa, designed for your comfort and catering to your preferences with a full range of services including sauna, hot tub, indoor pool, and exercise equipment. When the sun goes down the inn glows with lights and candles in its windows. Inside, the experience is romantic and rejuvenating.
