Karen's Review Of This Property:

Oxford is one of those exquisite old towns on a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay where history and charm come together to provide the traveler with a lifelong memory of his visit there. The Robert Morris Inn’s history dates back to before the Revolutionary War and it has figured prominently in the history of the town, of the state, and of the nation. The inn carries with it many of the traditions that its owners have long believed in and travelers come today to enjoy these traditions as they did in the past. The common rooms are steeped in history and their character is displayed in the furnishings and the décor that has been in place for many years. Bedrooms are either located up the creaking stair of this historic home or, a block away, in the Sandaway Lodge, another old home with its front screened-in porch that is set on an expanse of lawn that distances it from the water’s edge. Very romantic, settle in lawn chairs at sunset on summer Fridays to enjoy the local Yacht Club races. Furnishings are comfortable and in keeping with the historical character of the building and the town. There’s a lot to do right here in Oxford and it is also fun to cross the short span of water by car ferry to explore the charming towns of St. Michaels and Tilghman Island.
