Waterford Inne Sketch

Karen's Review Of This Property:

I first learned of Waterford when my dear friend Helen decided to return to her family ties in Maine. When I think of Waterford I think of an idyllic, classic New England town with its white steepled church on a grassy knoll. The Waterford Inne, a bed and breakfast with eight guestrooms, provides a terrific place to stay. The inn is a 19th-century farmhouse on a country lane amidst 25 acres of fields and woods—just viewing it tells you that this is another of those homes that now serves guests as it once did the original family. The guestrooms are uniquely decorated, mixing the warmth of antique furnishings with contemporary comforts in their modern bathrooms. The simple but elegant common rooms echo the decor of the bedrooms, with antiques and art, barn-board, brass, pewter, and primitives. With advance notice the innkeepers will provide a special dinner but there are also numerous restaurants nearby. Skiing and other winter sports are available in the area and in the summer there are many musical events, while antiquing is fun year round.
