Karen's Review Of This Property:
Picture yourself standing on the sweeping porch looking out over the pool down to the water through the towering pine trees; imagine that morning cup of coffee as you watch the activity on the sea and the changes in the water’s reflections; conjure up your perfect bedroom with its lovely four-poster bed, one you have to climb into and from which you can gaze out through the windows to the sea—this can be a reality with a stay at the idyllic Inn at Bay Ledge. All the bedrooms in the main house of this inn are spacious, welcoming, and attractively decorated and those on the second floor benefit from spa tubs and private decks. There’s a long living room with a grand piano for entertaining and breakfasts are sumptuous whether enjoyed in the pretty sunroom or at tables on the expanse of the porch. Tucked in the woods on the other side of the street are three summer cottages that are very cozy in their rustic, mountain decor. Named Bear, Moose and Deer, rough-hewn woods are used in the original furnishings, all commissioned in Maine. The Inn at Bay Ledge as the name implies enjoys an incredible location on a ledge above its own 450 foot stretch of private beach. A steep trail climbs down to the beach and the impressive, natural formation titled, Cathedral Arch.
