Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Newcastle Inn, looking down sloping lawns with lovely gardens to the water’s edge, commands an enviable position in the charming seacoast village of Newcastle with its many cute shops and wonderful bookstore. The inn is as lovely inside as out and not long ago received a fresh look with new wallpapers, carpeting, and furniture. A very special touch is the living-room floor, which has been hand-painted in the most attractive of designs. Off the living room, an enclosed porch with beautiful views from its many windows is a great place to sit in the afternoon with a book, glass of wine or cup of tea. In summer enjoy breakfast on a deck overlooking the river or, sip a cocktail while you watch the beautiful sunset from your outdoor table. There are fifteen guest rooms. I stayed in a room on the third floor looking out to the water. While simply furnished, it was very comfortable with its floral wallpaper and upholstered chair where I enjoyed reading in the evening.
