Karen's Review Of This Property:
Once you cross into Maine life, seems different: first there’s the smell of the sea air; then there are views down picturesque inlets of open water and the rise and fall of the ocean tides. Next you see the signs for lobster and the lobster boats—and you realize that you are in a place where the people, the food, and the scenery are unique. At the Dockside Guest Quarters, whose lawns and gardens sweep down to the water’s edge, you are immediately captured by the setting on the water and the fishing boats bobbing up and down. The bedrooms and suites, which are located in several buildings, are comfortably decorated, but it’s the views that capture your eye and demand your attention. I stayed in one of the suites with a nicely furnished living room, bedroom, and a full bath. Your visit will be enhanced by your hosts, the Lustys, who encourage you to take advantage of all the coast-oriented activities such as boating, fishing, beach walking, and biking. Nearby you find whale watching, lobstering, golf, tennis, summer theater, lots of antiquing, lighthouses, and outlet stores for the avid shopper. Lunch and dinner are served in the inn’s restaurant where you can dine on the porch overlooking the harbor and all of its activities, while breakfast is served in the Maine House.
