Karen's Review Of This Property:
Just outside the village of Kennebunkport, (a one mile walk, half of which is a gravel road), within an easy walk of the shops, galleries, and restaurants—is Bufflehead Cove, an inn set at the edge of a saltwater inlet. A narrow graveled drive delivers you to the doorstep of this property that enjoys an oasis on the water’s edge. It can accommodate overnight guests with five guestrooms, a cozy living room, and a dining room. In the main house, I adore the Balcony Room which frames the water views, enjoys a private balcony, gas fireplace, king bed, and whirlpool tub. Nestled off on its own, the River Cottage has an upstairs bedroom with a downstairs living room and wood-burning fireplace, a deck with a water view, a kitchen, and a two-person spa. Also tucked away from the main house—absolutely gorgeous in luxurious decor, space and comfort—The Hideaway is a place to retreat to and hideaway. A delicious, lavish, full breakfast is served either in the dining room, on the porch by the water, or on the open sunny deck. The inn serves wine and cheese in the evening and the innkeepers will be glad to review restaurant options for dinner and make reservations for you. The personable dog, Lili, adds to the enjoyment of your stay.
