Karen's Review Of This Property:
Set back in its own immaculately tended gardens with commanding views over the rocky coastline Sea Rock Inn is a collection of individual cottages and two, two story complexes of luxurious suites. Upscale country architecture blends original art, contemporary furnishings and knotty pine paneling with all the creature comforts demanded by the savvy traveler, fluffy robes, down comforters, TV/DVD’s, WiFi and modern bathrooms (several have tubs for two with ocean views). Andy and Susie Plocher have lovingly rebuilt and upgraded the inn which started out in the late 1800’s as a private residence and brewery, falling on hard times in the era of Prohibition. A generous buffet breakfast is served in a separate cottage within the sound of the breakers. Explore the beach, curl up by your own fireplace or relax on the deck at sunset with a bottle of wine, the choice is yours. Mendocino village with its galleries and restaurants is just up the road. The staff is particularly helpful and happy to make recommendations on hiking, what to see and where to go, suggest restaurants and make dinner reservations.
