Karen's Review Of This Property:
The McCloud Hotel with its pretty yellow façade proudly dominates Main Street. Inside, the high, beamed ceiling and informal grouping of sofas and chairs set before a large fire give the feeling of a mountain lodge. Although the exterior of the hotel was in relatively good shape and required only cosmetic repairs, guestrooms benefit from the complete renovation and modernization of the interior. At the top of a wide, handsome staircase is an inviting parlor with access to the front expanse of porch. Standard rooms, facing onto Main Street, are a wonderful value, with a nice-size room, washbasin, toilet, and private bathroom. Deluxe rooms, at the back of the building, have four-poster queen beds and an additional sitting area. Three comfortable suites enjoy big Jacuzzi tubs, three of which are located in the room proper. The decor is similar in theme throughout, with the use of country patterns, old trunks, and special attention to detail. A full breakfast is served between 8 and 9:30 am. Meals are served on the garden terrace in warm weather, or in the dining room when the weather is inclement.
