Casa Cody Inn

Karen's Review Of This Property:
Casa Cody is a moderately priced hotel in the heart of Palm Springs. Although quite simple it stands out like a gem. There is a nostalgic, old-fashioned comfort to these one-story, pink-stuccoed buildings with turquoise trim, the oldest continuously functioning hotel in Palm Springs. It had fallen into a state of hopeless disrepair until bought by Therese Hayes and Frank Tysen, who restored it with hard work, lots of imagination, and much love. The Casa Cody once again blossomed into an appealing small hotel with a nice choice of accommodations ranging from a standard double to a spacious two-bedroom, two-bath suite. Many of the rooms have the added bonuses of kitchenettes and fireplaces. The interior decor exudes a fresh, clean “Desert” look, with a southwest color scheme and handmade furniture. This friendly, comfortable inn is a remarkable value, especially the reasonably priced studio units such as 1, 2, 3, 4, 21, and 23, which have both fireplaces and well-equipped kitchens. We loved the 1920s doll-house-like, one-bedroom cottage tucked in under the trees in the corner of the property. Our favorite is the two-bedroom Old Adobe House, where Charlie Chaplin used to stay.
