Karen's Review Of This Property:
Dunmurray Lodge was built over 100 years ago and for over 50 years served as home to the town doctor. Irene believes in getting you off to a good start with a hearty breakfast. Muesli, fruit salad, yogurt, cheese and oatcakes are set out on the buffet and guests order their cooked breakfast the night before with choices ranging from a full-cooked breakfast with Mr. Macdonalds sausages to waffles with maple syrup and bacon. The airy, neat-as-a-new-pin bedrooms are named after local clans. Murray, a spacious room at the front of the house, enjoys a large bay window and zip-and-link beds that can be either king or twins. Combined with an adjacent twin-bedded room, it makes an ideal family suite. Robertson also has zip and link twin beds and overlooks the town's bowling green. Kerr and Stewart, both doubles, are decorated to the same high standard. Make yourself at home in the sitting rooms, all outfitted in shades of white. It’s an excellent place to sit and plan your sightseeing forays. Blair Castle with its period furnishings and grand estate should not be missed. Perth and Scone Palace, where the kings of Scotland were crowned makes an excellent daytrip. There are local distilleries to visit, walks to take and the theatre to enjoy. It’s a short walk into town for dinner.
