Karen's Review Of This Property:
Surrounded by open farmland on the edge of the Vale of Evesham, Salford Farm House dates back to the 19th century and showcases many of the original architectural features, beams, flagstones, and fireplaces. Traditionally decorated with antiques and family heirlooms, silverware gleams on the dining-room sideboard. A contented herd of ceramic cow creamers sits on the windowsill of the comfortable sitting room. A fascinating collection of French costume prints bedecks the hall stairs leading to the two lovely king (or twin) bedrooms, both with top of the line bathrooms one pink, one cream, the latter with its own separate dressing room. On arrival guests are invited to afternoon tea in the sitting room before a roaring fire or, on warmer, sun-dappled days, in the flower-filled garden. Jane prepares sumptuous breakfasts and dinners on her Aga in the country kitchen. Fresh local produce—fruits, vegetables, meat, and game from the Marquess of Hertford’s Ragley Estate—features largely on the menu. Salford Farm House is just 8 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon and 15 miles from Warwick Castle. Ragley Hall, Kenilworth, the Cotswolds, and an abundance of National Trust properties are nearby.
