Isbourne Manor House Sketch

Karen's Review Of This Property:

Nestled beside the baby River Isbourne on a quiet country lane just a few yards from the main street of the delightfully pretty Cotswold village of Winchcombe, Isbourne Manor House dates back to Elizabethan times, with extensive Georgian additions. From the moment you enter, you will be delighted by the attractive decor and warmth of hospitality offered by Felicity and David King. The elegant drawing room with its wood-burning fire is exclusively for guests’ use. Splurge and request The Sudeley Room, well worth the few additional pounds to enjoy its elegant queen-sized four-poster bed swathed with peach-colored draperies. Langley is a most attractive double-bedded room decorated in shades of cream. Under the steeply sloping eaves of the Elizabethan portion of the house you find the snug quarters offered by Beesmore whose window serves as the door onto a large rooftop terrace. Beesmore’s bathroom is down the hall. Breakfast is the only meal served, but the Kings provide an extensive list of suggested local eating places. Walk to nearby Sudeley Castle, more of a stately home than a traditional castle, then set out on a day-long tour of Cotswold villages such as Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden, and Broadway.
