Karen's Review Of This Property:
Set in a valley carved by a stream rushing down from high moorlands, Hutton-le-Hole is a cluster of pale stone houses, a picturesque village in the heart of the spectacular North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Sheep wander down from the moor to graze on the village green that surrounds Burnley House, the picturesque home of Caroline and Denys Burton. Tea and cake is served in the garden on warm, sunny days or by the log fire in the drawing room where you find lots of interesting books and comfortable armchairs. A huge stone fireplace is the focal point of the very large dining room. The breakfast buffet table is set with yogurts, home hade muesli, cereal, fresh fruit salad, homemade jams and Yorkshire honey. Tea and cake are served upon your arrival. Up the sweeping staircase the two spacious front bedrooms (Kirkdale and Bransdale) are real beauties with views across the village green with its picturesque cottages. If you want to come and go undisturbed, Rosedale, a twin, and the four-poster room have their own private garden entrances. Newtondale, a double-bedded room is found in the adjoining cottage. Castle Howard is just a short drive away, while York lies less than an hour to the south. The lovely North Yorkshire Moors are yours to explore.
