Karen's Review Of This Property:
Enjoy utter tranquility and the magnificent coastal panorama from Boskerris Hotel in Carbis Bay, located a scenic three-minute train ride away from the heart of bustling St Ives. Sit on the deck and be spellbound by the ocean view that stretches from St Ives harbor to Godrevy lighthouse—sunsets are spectacular. The Bassetts bought the hotel in 2004 and embarked on a complete refurbish to give it a contemporary, airy feel that works just perfectly. Bedrooms vary in size: most have magnificent views, all are spacious with bathrooms that come with all the bells and whistles. The stylish lounge is a terrific place to relax and enjoy the books and magazines reflecting the owners’ interests in interiors (Marianne and Annette), surfing (Jono) and opera (George). The white sands of Carbis beach are a short stroll away while St Ives is a half hour walk along the coastal path. A huge map of Cornwall fills an entire wall and highlights the Bassetts’ favorite places from where to buy the best Cornish pasties to gardens, walks, and favorite restaurants—you may well want to dine in house one night.
