Karen's Review Of This Property:

From the outside, Alexander House looks just like the many other terraced houses that line the streets in this neighborhood, but inside it is delightfully different, showcasing top-of-the-line decor by Gillian and Dave Reynard. A sunny yellow hallway rises from the entry, setting the cheerful mood felt throughout the house. In the sitting room plump sofas flank the fireplace and a glass-fronted cabinet displays Gill’s extensive collection of Royal Doulton china figurines. The bedrooms are airy, immaculate, and really well equipped. I particularly admired room 5 at the top of the house, a family room with both a queen and single bed. After a hearty breakfast it’s time to get acquainted with the many delights of York, see the magnificent Minster, explore the Viking city of Jorvik, and experience times past in the Castle Museum. Guests often enjoy interesting stories in the evening when they join a guide on a “ghost walk” through the historic streets of this ancient city.

Directions: Leave the A64 (which forms the southern part of the York Outer Ring Road) at the A1036, in the direction of York city center (signposted York West). Turn right (opposite the Quickfit garage) into Scarcroft Road. At the end of the road turn right into Bishopthorpe Road and Alexander House is on your left after 100 yards. Dave will take your car to the off-road parking at the rear of the house.
