Karen's Review Of This Property:
We discovered this charming boutique hotel when taking an evening stroll up from the river. Enchanted just by peeking through windows, we knew our brazen efforts were rewarded when we entered the lobby. The Hotel Kindli, once a 16th-century townhouse, retains the warmth and character of a private home. Decorated throughout in Laura Ashley wallpapers and fabrics, the guestrooms are rich and handsome in their furnishings. The setting, on cobbled streets at the heart of the pedestrian district, affords quiet and a wonderful central location. Rooms open to the sounds of footsteps on cobbled streets and the bells of St. Peter’s. Since it was evening and many guests had already checked in, we felt fortunate to see even a sampling of rooms. All the rooms have private bathrooms and open off lovely quiet corridors. A circular stair of beautiful pink marble winds up through the center of the home (they also have an elevator). Everything here is tasteful and English-country, yet if you are not attracted by the rooms, you might simply find yourself a patron of the wonderful Restaurant Kindli, which is cozy and inviting.
