Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Fletschhorn is a haven of tranquility set on a forested hillside just outside Saas Fee overlooking the most breathtaking Alpine views. Yet this is far more than a hotel in a stunning location—it is a veritable haven for those who like their food not only to taste good but also to look good. Markus Neff, who was awarded “chef of the year” in 2007, and staff ensure that each dish looks like a stunning jewel: ravioli with truffles and mushrooms, lobster with white beans and seagrass, and a raspberry tart covered in a cloud of spun sugar were all outstanding. Small wonder that the Fletschhorn is one of the top eight restaurants in Switzerland. The same creativity displayed in the food is also found in the bedrooms, which come in three categories—double rooms, junior rooms and panorama rooms. Junior rooms are spacious affairs with open-plan bathrooms cleverly incorporated into the design of the room and balconies offering panoramic views. Double rooms are smaller by comparison and more basic in their layout. Three panorama rooms (31, 34 and 35) boast fantastic views of the waterfalls and Alpine valley. Vivid colors and modern furnishings create a dramatic basis for the ever-changing collection of art that adorns the walls and open spaces. A 20-minute stroll from the heart of town.
