Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Chesa Rosatsch is a delightful hotel located about 5 kilometers north of St. Moritz in a pretty village, Celerina, that still retains its charming old world character over the glamour and glitz of its world famous neighbor. It is positioned in the Upper Engadin Valley, right next to the River Inn where the locals are often seen standing on the banks fishing. Within easy walking distance of the hotel is the beautiful San Gian Church, plus shops and restaurants. Chesa Rosatsch is made up of four connecting houses, the oldest dating back 360 years. You can quickly distinguish where one house ends and another begins since each is painted a different color: white, pink, rose, or light tan. Together they create a pretty picture reflecting in the river. The interior of the house exudes a “sophisticated” country style, with predominantly light pine furniture throughout. The restaurant, where breakfast and simple meals are served, is quite contemporary with a flood of sunlight streaming through large arched windows and Danish-modern chairs and tables. In contrast, the Stüva, a gourmet restaurant, is cozy with beautiful, antique wood paneling, wrought-iron chandeliers, beamed ceiling, and carved wood chairs. The guestrooms are very attractive, all with a similar look with light pine furnishings.
